Since finishing his studies at Utrecht University (Cognitive Artificial Intelligence programme) (preceded by one year of law at the University of Amsterdam), Joris has held various roles, including as a Project Manager, ICT Architect, and ICT Manager in a range of different organisations. In 2012, he launched his own business, establishing the corporate investigation agency – Justita Digitalis B.V.

From 2018 onwards, Joris has worked as part of the highly experienced team at AVG Compleet. AVG Compleet is dedicated to assisting organisations meet their obligations under the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) and optimize their information security. Joris has completed Data Protection Officer training, is a certified Information Privacy Professional (Europe) and is a certified ISO 27001 Lead Auditor.

As SEFR’s Data Protection Officer, Joris ensures SEFR’s proper compliance with the GDPR and all other relevant laws and regulations concerning the protection of personal (and sensitive) data.
