Paulo Dantas is a lawyer that graduated from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP), with post-graduate studies in Administrative Law at the Getúlio Vargas Foundation of São Paulo (FGV)/SP) and in Law&Economics from the University of Utrecht, Netherlands. Paulo is currently pursuing a master’s degree in administrative law at the University of São Paulo (USP) and he is currently a researcher in the project Administrative Law of Infrastructure of the Research Group Administrative Law and Society at USP. Furthermore, Paulo is a practicing lawyer with over 20 years’ experience and the head at Castro Barros’ Public Law department of Castro Barros Advogados. His expertise is focused on administrative and environmental law. Moreover, Paulo is Vice-president of the Latin American Institute for Collective Justice (ILAJUC), a non-profit organization that fights for the protection and development of collective justice throughout Latin America. His experience includes providing Brazilian administrative and environmental law advice in the English court case against BHP in relation to the collapse of the Fundão Dam, the largest environmental disaster in the history of Brazil.
